八甲田を越え弘前へ　初雪です　うっすらと積もっていた

to hirosaki – driving through the hakkouda mountains – first virgin snow of this year　

弘前市土手町にあるブナコのショールーム「BLESS」へ ↓ 　

we visited the BUNACO shop called `BLESS’ ↓ in hirosaki

ブナ材を薄いテープにしてコイル状に巻き、おわん等で少しずつ押し出して形をつくる木工品
成形する前の（ブナコイル）と津軽弁で物の呼称の語尾に･･･コと付けるので「ブナコ」という名前に

BUNACO is a kind of local wood craft – thin strips of beech wood hand-wound into layers which are then shaped into beautiful objects – BUNA means beech and the suffix, CO is a form of tsugaru dialect – a term of endearment
