十和田の蔦の森をカンジキのようなスキーで散策してきました　

こちらがその特製スキー「スノーランブラー」

I enjoyed snow rambling with these snow shoe-esque skies called, ‘snow rabmlers’

蔦のブナの森は葉っぱが無いだけ木の形状が際立ってとってもきれい　

冬枯れしてなんか居ません　生命の繋がりを感じる豊かな時間でした

we went into the beautiful beech trees and explore everywhere with the skies that enable us to go into deep inside the woods – the trees without leaves boasted their beauty – I felt the healing power of the trees, the air and the people who invited us to the woods

経済産業省 クリエイティブ産業課から視察のおふたり、内田さんと藤本さんがいらっしゃいました　

今回は、十和田の伝統工芸の南部裂き織りの工房も見ていかれました

the visitors from the METI, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, came to see us – they also went to a local weaving studio to meet some people who have been handing down their skills to younger generation, in order to prevent our traditional skills from going extinct

I personally believe that the best Japan export is the spirit of people – one can experience the Japanese spirit, for example, through our refine quality of manufacturing(not to mention, the traditional handcrafts) – our modest attitude towards Life seems old but it is also considered as refreshingly new way of living to many – having the true eyes for the true beauty is the strongest virtue of the Japanese

作り展覧会プロジェクトあたってコ！では手芸等のワークショップをほぼ毎日開催しています

コタツにあたりながら、アート作品に囲まれながら、おしゃべりをしながらの楽しい時間

our KOTATSU exhibition offers a series of hand-made workshops – everyday!

教えてくれるのは「コタツ会」のメンバーやそのお友達　

いや、十和田には一芸に秀でている方が大勢居ます

sitting at the KOTATSU (electric heated-table) together is fun as, you can enjoy making hand crafts with your friends and family – the instructors are local Senseis(teachers) and artists who kindly gave their time to teach their skills

あたってコ！招聘作家のひとり、スサイタカコさんのお部屋には心地よい音楽が流れています　

an artist, Takako Susai created a fun snow-esque chamber with some music for us

寝転がって人形達を見上げると幸せな気分　ふわふわな気分　楽しいお部屋です

つくる展覧会プロジェクト「あたってコ！」が始まりました

造形や写真、食のアーティスト達と市民の有志／アマチュア作家がコラボレーション　

コタツをモチーフにさまざまな作品とワークショップを展開していきます（ 〜 2月5日開催）

a handmade exhibition ‘ATATTEKO’ is now opened – 4 invited artists and many of Towada artists/non-artists collaborated for this project

スサイタカコさんのお人形の部屋、瀬尾泰章（せおひろあき）さんの農家さんを撮影した写真の小部屋、一般公募から選ばれた「夢のコタツ」をデザイナーの島本直尚（しまもとなおたか）さんが実現させた造形作品など楽しい展示内容です

他にも、夢のコタツの全応募案207点の展示、ダンボールを使った巨大裂き織り（体験できます）に加え、実際に開場に置かれたコタツに入りながらの手芸ワークショップがほぼ毎日開催されます

アート空間に置かれたコタツにあたりにきて下さいな

弘前、青森、函館の首長が来月台湾に観光客誘致のトップセールスに行くと聞き、今日は弘前へ

葛西市長とお話をしました　アート＆自然のツーリズムを提唱している私としては、アートを軸にしたAOMORIのポテンシャルをぜひにプレゼンテーションしたかった訳ですね　観光立県の構想に「Art and Nature Tourism」を組み込んでもらいたい　葛西市長はしっかりと聞いて下さいました

I went to Hirosaki city to see its Mayor – my baby, ‘Art and Nature Tourism’ is to need more exposure, therefore, my trip to Hirosaki – the Mayor, Mr.Kasai, kindly gave his time for my presentation

で、気をよくした私は弘前土手町の雑貨屋さんでお買い物三昧　肯定的体験は財布の紐を緩ませる　

the photo is not of the Mayor but of the soy source containers I bought in Hirosaki – after our good meeting, I felt happy enough to splurge big time – good experience makes one buy buy buy!

ぬくぬくのコタツにみんなが集まり、甘酸っぱいみかんをほおばります　団欒の時…

北国の冬、コタツはすっかり家族の一員でしたが、時代とともにいつしか姿を消していった

during the Winter, we used to hang out at the Kotatsu, a heating table and eat a lot of Mikans – it was a communication tool in a way, among family members, friends and neighbours – I personally enjoyed the colour of infrared light/heat which made inside the table into a world of red

子どもの頃、コタツのなかに潜り込むとすべてが真っ赤になっていてなんだかわくわくしました

家族やご近所の方々が集まって、コミュニケーションの一助にもなっていた

コタツをモチーフにあったかい展覧会をやってみようと思います

at the TAC, we are going to open an exhibition focused on Kotatsu communication with some artists and the local people – it will be a fun joint project

LPやドーナツ盤もある 60’s – 80’s 和洋とも充実 こんなほの暗いバーで独りが好き
