8月6〜8日と十和田ではさまざまなアートイベントが開催されました　ドキュメントでどうぞ！

we had many art events on the first weekend of August!

美術館向かいのアート広場に寺山修司が登場　「寺山修司　十和田を覗く」です　

学生集団 SozoAge 制作によるパフォーマンス「鏡女」や造形作家シミージーの作品ムシムシコロコロで遊びました　寺山修司記念館へのシャトルバス運行も

one and only playwright, Shuji Terayama (deceased) visited our square – the art students group called, SozoAge, produced some performances dedicated to him – also, we enjoyed riding MUSHIMUSHIKOROKORO, a wooden circle, made by an artist, Shimizy – this event `peeking in Towada by Shuji terayama’ was held under burning sun

鏡女（かがみおんな）とゲーム　必ず「み」で始まる言葉を探す羽目になる恐ろしいしりとりを

`mirror girls’ – they challenge you to find Japanese words start with MI sound

これ、ムシムシコロコロ　リスになった気分です

商店街の交差点で信号待ちするドライバーに向けて SozoAge が音楽と踊りのパフォーマンス

15秒間だけのフェスティバル

SozoAge, the art students from Tokyo, performed on the city’s main crossing – they only danced during the red signals in order to entertain the bored drivers – it’s called `15 second- festival’

商店街でまことクラヴが踊りました　

食料品店、タネ屋さんに衣料品店　観客もダンサーたちと一緒にお店を回ります

a dance company, Makoto Cluv toured some high street shops and danced – the audience followed them from one place to another

今度は美術館の展示室や前庭に同時多発的にダンサーが現れ

in the afternoon, the dancers appeared in the various places at the museum

開催中の草間彌生展では草間さんのドキュメンタリー映画上映とギャラリートーク　

草間さんの出身地長野県の松本市美術館学芸員の渋田見彰（しぶたみあきら）さんが作品の解説を　

we held a film screening and a gallery talk about our current exhibition artist, Yayoi Kusama – the speaker, Akira Shibutami, is a curator from Matsumoto City Museum, Nagano – Yayoi Kusama is from Matsumoto city

またこの日草間展の入場者が3万人を超えました

also, today, we had 30,000th visitor for our Kusama show!

市民キュレーションによって開催中のまちなか展覧会「稲生町タイムトラベル」関連では商店街にある無料休憩所でワークショップ　超芸術トマソン観測センター同人の飯村昭彦（いいむらあきひこ）さんと一緒にガリ版でビラを作ってみました

there is an exhibiton currently held in the high street – it is curated by museum’s volunteer group – the theme is `time travel’ – we learnt an old printing technique from Akihiko Iimura – he is one of the Thomasson members

カリカリ　カリカリ　静かな時が流れるなか何やら表が騒々しい　商店街に出てみると ↓

a very quiet workshop – but outside we heard unusually loud music playing, then

街の有志が企画した「産馬（さんば）通りでサンバ！」ラテン系東北人の街 トワダ

刺激的な3日間でした

there was a big carnival called, `Samba on the Sanba Street’ (yes, there is a sreet called Sanba here) – Latin spirit in Towada!? – well, of course, we loooove the DDG (drop dead gorgeous) samba girls
