yesterday, I headed for Shuji Terayama Museum in Misawa city – the late Terayama was a playwright and one of a kind – chill & fog always come when I visit this museum – Terayama kind of weather

his creative world was rather eerie – I like it – maybe because of the fact that we grew up in the same area with the same kind of scenery

sad but kind – solitary but funny – ugly and beautiful

the museum is surrounded by lush green forest – there is a small hill with a memorial stone with Terayama’s famous songs – this hill overlooks a beautiful marsh filled with floating lotus flowers

museum deputy director, Sasame san

in Aomori prefecture, we are lucky to have many art facilities as well as untouched nature – we can promote `art & nature’ as our great asset – humanity needs both – Towada and the other museums should work together as one family

Sasame san cropped some sprouts for us in the forest
